According to the 2023 American Express State of Women-Owned Businesses Report: Women own more than 42% of all businesses in the United States. Women-owned businesses generate nearly $2 trillion in revenue annually. Florida consistently ranks among the top states in the nation for the number of women-owned businesses.
Florida is home to more than 1.3 million women-owned businesses, employing over 1.1 million people statewide. That economic footprint is not abstract. It shows up in our neighborhoods, storefronts, offices, and innovation hubs throughout the Tampa Bay region.
